Growing up with GCN meant facing immense challenges. Luis had to work harder than most to find acceptance, make friends, and build his self-worth. When the world paused during the pandemic, Luis saw an opportunity to reinvent himself. After working as a paralegal in New York City for 17 years, he pursued his long-held dream of acting and modeling. Despite facing direct rejection due to his birthmark, he refused to let societal limitations define him. Enrolling at the John Casablancas Center for Actors and Models became the turning point of his life.

Remarkably, through runway training, he overcame his limp and emerged stronger than ever. His hard work paid off when he won an improv acting award at IMTA, securing contracts with two agencies. This was just the beginning of his rise to fame.

Breaking Barriers: Dominating the Runway and Beyond

Luis’s determination saw him losing almost 50 pounds in two months to prepare for New York Fashion Week. He dominated the runway with unmatched confidence, featured in three magazines, and appeared on three billboards. His success continued in Tennessee, where he won first place in the Men’s Judge’s Choice and second place in Men’s Theme Wear.

Despite facing a life-threatening health crisis that required an ostomy bag and a long recovery, Luis didn’t give up. Just two months later, he returned to New York Fashion Week, winning a contract with a prominent modeling agency. Shortly after, he walked the runway at The Model Experience in front of over 5,000 people, gaining further recognition with magazine features and upcoming billboards in Times Square, Las Vegas, and Miami.
