With a unique sound that blends classic country with a modern edge, Barrow’s authenticity continues to win fans around the world. Now, with the release of his new single “Ain’t Lookin’ Back Now,” he’s taking listeners on a powerful journey of resilience and renewal.

We sat down with Todd to talk about his roots, musical influences, creative process, and what this new track means to him.

Q: Todd, congrats on the new single! What inspired “Ain’t Lookin’ Back Now”?

Todd Barrow:
Thank you! “Ain’t Lookin’ Back Now” is a song about personal strength — about rising from hard times and choosing to move forward without regrets. We’ve all been through things that test us, and this track is really a celebration of survival and hope. It’s for anyone who’s had to rebuild and find their way again.

Q: How does this song reflect where you are right now in your life and career?

Todd:
Honestly, it’s very close to home. I’ve had moments in my life and career where I had to reassess everything — and keep going no matter what. This song reflects that mindset. I feel more confident than ever as an artist and as a person, and I think this track captures that energy. I’m not looking back. I’m only moving forward.

Q: You’ve been in the spotlight with awards and features on shows like Good Morning Texas and PBS’s Texas Music Café. What’s been your proudest moment so far?

Todd:
There have been many meaningful moments, but one that really stands out is when I co-wrote “The House That Love Built” with Sonny Burgess. It was a tribute to the Ronald McDonald House, and we got recognized by PRSA Fort Worth for it. That made me feel like my music could truly make a difference beyond the stage.

Q: Let’s talk about your roots. How did growing up in Texas shape your sound?

Todd:
Texas is rich with musical heritage — from Willie Nelson to George Strait. I was always surrounded by that blend of rugged honesty and musical grit. But what really changed my life was meeting Sonny Burgess at Cook Children’s Medical Center. That moment sparked a mentorship that guided my path and taught me to be real, stay grounded, and honor the legends while finding my own voice.

Q: You’ve shared the stage with some big names and worked with top producers like Bart Rose. What do you look for in a collaboration?

Todd:
It’s all about connection and mutual respect. I want to work with people who care about music the way I do — who understand that it’s not just about the notes, but the feeling behind them. Whether it’s someone from Miranda Lambert’s band or a local artist, I value creativity and integrity above all.

Q: What do you hope fans take away from “Ain’t Lookin’ Back Now”?

Todd:
I hope they feel empowered. Whether you’re coming out of a tough relationship, career shift, or personal struggle, this song is your anthem. It says, You’ve made it through — now walk forward with your head high. If it puts that kind of energy into someone’s day, then I’ve done my job.

Q: What’s coming next for Todd Barrow?

Todd:
I’m working on a new TV series set to launch next fall, which is a whole new adventure. I’m also lining up live performances and writing a lot — there’s more music on the way! Of course, I’m focused on getting “Ain’t Lookin’ Back Now” into as many ears and hearts as possible right now.
